Some 450 trucks queuing up at Belarusian border to enter Lithuania

MINSK, 7 February (BelTA) – A total of 450 trucks are waiting to enter Lithuania, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee of Belarus.

Since Monday, the number of trucks waiting near Lithuanian border checkpoints to enter the EU has increased from 310 to 450. The busiest border crossing is the Lithuanian border checkpoint Medininkai (Kamenny Log on the Belarusian side), where 250 trucks are queuing up to enter Lithuania. Since Monday, its personnel has cleared 17% of trucks.

The Lithuanian border checkpoint Salcininkai (Benyakoni) has accepted 40% of  the normal number of trucks since the week-start. A total of 200 trucks are waiting here to enter Lithuania.

As of 10.00, about 80 passenger cars were queuing up in front of the Polish checkpoint Terespol (Brest) and the Lithuanian checkpoint Medininkai (Kamenny Log).
