Sergeyenko discusses Belarus' agriculture during trip to Pinsk District

Pinsk District, 16 February (BelTA) – By developing the agricultural sector Belarus is able to meet the domestic demand for foodstuffs and sell the rest of food products abroad, Head of the Belarus President Administration Igor Sergeyenko said as he visited Pinsk District on 16 February, BelTA has learned.

“Food security is not an issue in the country. Agriculture is developing at such a pace that we are approaching the world level. In other words, we do not only meet the domestic demand for food, but also actively operate in foreign markets. The figures speak volumes. Let's strive to achieve even better results. We are self-sufficient in food thanks to such farms as OAO Parokhonskoye and other large and small agricultural producers. Therefore, our people have nothing to worry about,” Igor Sergeyenko emphasized.

The head of the Belarus President Administration took part in a meeting with economic operators of Pinsk District. The meeting took place in the agricultural town of Parokhonsk.

The participants of the meeting reviewed the performance of Pinsk District in 2021 and discussed plans for 2022.
