Serbian ambassador: Belarus can serve an example of the right attitude to memory of Great Victory

MINSK, 8 May (BelTA) – Belarus may serve an example of the right attitude to the memory about Great Victory, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Serbia to Belarus Velko Kovacevic told the media on 8 May. He took part in an official ceremony held in the All Saints Memorial-Church in Minsk to shelve capsules with soil collected from sites of military glory, BelTA has learned.

“It is a great honor for me to see everything Belarus has done and continues to do about the Great Victory. It is just amazing and can serve as an example for many other countries," he said. Particularly valuable, in his opinion, is that younger generation is actively involved in the efforts to preserve the historical memory.

“I know the history of Belarus well. It was tragic, but you always prevailed. I am convinced that this is how things will be in the future," Ambassador Velko Kovacevic said.
