Russian budget airline Pobeda authorized for Saint Petersburg-Minsk, Moscow-Gomel flights

MINSK, 5 January (BelTA) – The Russian budget airline Pobeda has been authorized to offer flights between Saint Petersburg and Minsk and between Moscow and Gomel, BelTA learned from Vladimir Kostin, Director of the Aviation Department of the Belarusian Transport and Communications Ministry.

According to the source, the Russian air carrier Pobeda was authorized to service Saint Petersburg-Minsk flights and Moscow-Gomel flights after meeting the necessary conditions and passing the accreditation process in line with Belarusian rules in December 2017.

The official specified that the Russian company will now have to negotiate the schedule of flights and contracts with maintenance companies with the Minsk National Airport and the Belarusian air carrier Belavia. It is yet unclear how often Pobeda flights to Minsk and Gomel will be available.

The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency authorized the air carrier Pobeda to offer regular flights to Belarus in November 2017.
