MINSK, 29 September (BelTA) – Poland, the Baltic states, and Ukraine in fact ignore the international commitments they have undertaken, BelTA learned from Prosecutor General of Belarus Andrei Shved.
The official said: “There is an international legal framework. It has legal force at present. We can state that Poland, the Baltic states, and Ukraine in fact ignore the international commitments they have undertaken with regard to virtually all the crimes, including corruption-related ones. We are studying and analyzing the situation.”
Andrei Shved remarked that as a reciprocal step Belarus had also suspended work on some materials these countries had submitted. “We are analyzing the situation. We are talking about initiating some consultations in order to clarify whether such agreements and treaties are necessary after all if they are ignored,” he concluded.
