MINSK, 25 January (BelTA) – Over 50 new medications became available in Belarus in 2025. Vasily Filonyuk, Head of the Science Department of the Belarusian Healthcare Ministry, mentioned the figure in a recent episode of BelTA’s project The Nation Speaks.
Vasily Filonyuk remarked that in 2025 the ministry’s Center for Examinations and Tests in Health Service added over 50 medications to the registry of medications, including six medications and pharmaceutical substances developed by institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
Apart from that, NASB scientists registered eight new original test systems for enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), added Vasily Bogdan, Academician-Secretary of the Department of Medical Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. “They were developed by the academy’s organizations. These are new products that were registered thanks to results produced in 2025. A total of six medications and eight test systems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus,” he clarified.
