MINSK, 5 November (BelTA) - All the proposals that people make on the dialogue platforms may serve as good topics for analysis, Chairman of the Belarusian National Bar Association Viktor Chaichits told the media during the regional discussion of topical issues related to the country's and regional development. The event was held at the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee on 4 November, BelTA has learned.
“People have become more active. There are many proposals, but most of them are of domestic and private nature. The population speaks about politics, too, but more often they express their opinion on the issues of their interest. Even if the proposals concern, for example, the improvement of the complex people live in, it is important to hear and analyze this information,” Viktor Chaichits said.
The expert added that all the recommendations received from the public should be considered seriously to prevent violations.
“There are a lot of proposals regarding governance and self-government bodies. It is often said that the Councils of Deputies are full of ideas but do not have the funds to implement projects. People also pay attention to the fact that it is not necessary to separate executive power and self-government. These are very serious topics, and they need to be thoroughly considered,” Viktor Chaichits stressed.
The discussion platform welcomed heads of the largest state enterprises, non-public sector of economy, and independent experts to discuss the changes to the Constitution and electoral legislation, as well as economic issues.
