MINSK, 5 February (BelTA) – Nearly 1.6 million people underwent treatment and recuperation at Belarusian health resorts in 2025, Director of the National Center for Recuperation and Health Resort Treatment Gennady Bolbatovsky told reporters, BelTA has learned.

Gennady Bolbatovsky described the year as “quite successful for health resorts and wellness facilities,” noting positive trends across all key performance indicators. “This year, occupancy reached its highest levels, with an average annual occupancy rate of 84.6%. The number of people treated and recuperated at our facilities reached almost 1.6 million. Revenue from service sales overall increased by 21% compared to 2024, exceeding Br1.5 billion,” he stated.

Gennady Bolbatovsky also highlighted significant investment in infrastructure and equipment across health resorts. “Over Br251 million were invested in improving the organizations’ infrastructure and equipment,” he reported.

Gennady Bolbatovsky noted that all social commitments and state program activities were fully implemented. “Around 799,000 people received health improvement and spa treatment on preferential terms, using funds from the central budget and the State Social Insurance Fund,” he said. He further emphasized the center’s long-standing commitment to improving children’s health: “The center’s priority has traditionally been the health improvement and recuperation of children. Approximately 70% of the allocated funds, amounting to around Br290 million, went specifically to the health improvement and treatment of children.”
