MP: Lukashenko's interview with U.S. blogger was open, emotional

MINSK, 6 March (BelTA) - It is important to stop conflicts and establish cooperation between major powers as soon as possible, member of the Standing Commission on Regional Policy and Local Self-Government of the Council of the Republic, chairman of the Volkovysk District Executive Committee Dmitry Zakharchuk told BelTA as he commented on Aleksandr Lukashenko's interview with U.S. blogger Mario Nawfal. The interview was aired on the X platform and BelTA's YouTube channel.
“Aleksandr Lukashenko's interview raised topical and even acute topics of our time. It was not only about Belarus' domestic and foreign policies, relations with the West, Russia, and China. In his usual open and emotional manner, the president spoke about many other events: the peace talks on the Ukrainian conflict, the role of Western interference, prospects of nuclear confrontation. Undoubtedly, many of the details and facts he voiced became an eye-opener for the foreign communities,” Dmitry Zakharchuk said.
From the position of the experienced politician, Aleksandr Lukashenko tried to convey the key idea to the European and U.S. audiences: it is necessary to stop conflicts and establish cooperation between the major world powers as soon as possible through diplomacy, the MP noted. “It should be done for the sake of the future, for the sake of the next generations on all continents,” he emphasized.
