MINSK, 21 November (BelTA) – Nineteen Belarusian citizens have been evacuated from Lebanon, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.
"Our diplomats in Syria, together with Russian partners, organized the evacuation of 19 Belarusian citizens seeking to leave Lebanon due to the difficult military-political situation in the region. They are literally on the way to Moscow on board of a special aircraft of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations," the ministry informed.
The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed gratitude to Russian colleagues for fraternal assistance.
"Our citizens still remain in Lebanon and we will continue providing them with assistance in various forms," the ministry added.
