Mezentsev: West cannot accept that Minsk and Moscow reject unipolar world order

MINSK, 5 December (BelTA) – The West cannot accept the fact that Minsk and Moscow are pursuing a coordinated policy in dozens of areas and reject the unipolar world model, State Secretary of the Belarus-Russia Union State Dmitry Mezentsev told reporters, BelTA has learned.

According to Dmitry Mezentsev, the most important issue on the agenda of the upcoming meeting of the Supreme State Council will be the adoption of the Union State security concept. The relevance of this document is obvious: the military and political situation in the region is becoming more complicated and the pressure on Belarus and Russia is mounting.

“Threats are being issued. And most importantly, the West cannot reconcile itself with the fact that Minsk and Moscow coordinate with each other in dozens of areas and do not accept the unipolar world model that implies getting into line with and kowtowing to some capitals located across the ocean or in Western Europe. This is unacceptable, because it goes against the interests of tens of millions of citizens of Belarus and Russia,” the state secretary of the Union State said.
