Healthcare facilities of Minsk Oblast partner with Uzbekistan's tour operators

MINSK, 13 November (BelTA) – Minsk Oblast Children's Hospital and the Primorsky sanatorium have signed cooperation agreements with tour operators from Uzbekistan. The agreements were signed on the sidelines of the Tashkent International Tourism Fair TITF 2019 - Tourism on the Silk Road that is underway in Tashkent on 13-15 November, BelTA learned from the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee.

According to head of the central department for sport and tourism at the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee Evgeny Buloichik, the Belarusian delegation is actively advertising health and wellness tourism of Minsk Oblast at the expo. The Belarusian pavilion holds presentations of major healthcare facilities of the region. As a result of the advertising effort, Minsk Oblast Children's Hospital signed a cooperation agreement with three tour operators from Uzbekistan.

The Primorsky sanatorium counts on the inflow of foreign tourists, too. According to the sanatorium chief Sergei Skuranovich, the agreement between the sanatorium and travel agencies of Uzbekistan was signed on the very first day of the expo. “Our sanatorium is located in a picturesque place on the shore of Zaslavl Water Reservoir. We have all modern amenities, our own beach and a huge woodland area with coniferous and mixed forests. Patients with medical conditions are offered a personal health improvement program tailor-made by our healthcare professionals. I believe tourists from Uzbekistan will enjoy their stay in our sanatorium,” he noted.

The expo can give a fresh impetus to cooperation in sport. The Belarusian delegation has already met with representatives of the Boxing and Graeco-Roman Wrestling Federation of Uzbekistan. On 14 November they are to tour boxing and wrestling facilities in Tashkent and the oblast. The exchange of sports delegations is also under consideration.

The Tashkent International Tourism Fair TITF-2019 - Tourism on the Silk Road is taking place in Uzbekistan's capital for the 25th time. This is one of the biggest industry events in Central Asia. Taking part in the forum are representatives of Korea, Egypt, Malaysia, India, Kyrgyzstan, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Russia, Georgia, China, Indonesia, the UAE and other countries.
