MINSK, 3 August (BelTA) – The Grodno branch of the State Border Committee of Belarus began a tactical integration exercise on 3 August, the committee's representatives told BelTA.
The exercise will last till 12 August. Three stages will take place. The border guard personnel will focus on mobilization and combat shakedown of mobile reserve units, on the enhancement of the state border protection, on detection, blocking, and elimination of armed bands, and on consequent stabilization of the situation in the near-border territory.
The main goals of the exercise is to improve combat and mobilization readiness of the regional branch of the border service, increase the readiness level of the local command and control bodies amid growing threats to border security and military security.
A complicated, dynamic, and educational situation has been created for the exercise. It will allow the personnel to act in a situation that will resemble a real one as closely as possible.
