MINSK, 26 May (BelTA) – Foreign citizens are unable to return home due to cancellation of flights, the State Border Committee told BelTA.
“The State Border Committee and its regional branches are receiving a lot of appeals from foreign citizens who are unable to return home, mostly because a number of airlines canceled flights and some countries introduced a ban on flights through the air space of Belarus,” the committee noted. “We would like to point out that these issues are beyond the competence of the border service,” it added.
In view of the current situation, the State Border Committee recommends that foreign citizens seek help with returning back home at embassies and consulates of their countries.
