"On Point"
MINSK, 3 August (BelTA) - The special military operation cannot be compared to any other conflict in history for several reasons, political analyst and publicist Dmitry Kulikov said in the latest episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA's YouTube channel
“Russia has conducted nearly its entire campaign with careful calculation. Even difficult decisions in 2022, like the Russian army's withdrawal from Kherson, now appear unavoidable. We genuinely value our servicemen's lives,” Dmitry Kulikov said. “Mass frontal assaults aren't the Russian Armed Forces' approach. Observe their operations near Krasnoarmeysk and Kramatorsk - small, specialized units executing precisely calculated maneuvers. This represents extremely complex military tactics.”
The expert emphasized the conflict's unprecedented nature, particularly regarding widespread drone warfare and other modern combat specifics. Despite these challenges, Russian forces continue offensive operations.
“This conflict defies historical comparison. It is both history's first drone war and a situation where Russia isn't employing its full capabilities. These two factors alone make these hostilities unique. That is why I remain unfazed by emotional reactions [to the special military operation],” Dmitry Kulikov concluded.
