Eurasian Intergovernmental Council to meet in Kazakhstan on 2 February

MOSCOW, 31 January (BelTA) - The meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council is set to take place in Almaty, Kazakhstan on 2 February in a face-to-face format, BelTA learned from the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

“The agenda of the meeting will include the discussion of the current state and prospects of the EAEU integrated information system, the action plan to create favorable conditions for the development of electronic trade in the EAEU, integration interaction of railroads of the EAEU countries. In addition, the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council will consider the macroeconomic situation in the EAEU countries and proposals to ensure sustainable economic development,” the press service said.

Plans are in place to discuss the implementation of the EAEU joint project on accelerated rail and multimodal transportation of agricultural products and food Eurasian Agroexpress, introduce amendments to the list of priority integration infrastructure projects in the transport sector of the Eurasian Economic Union.

Attending the meeting will be the heads of government of the Eurasian Economic Union - members of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, and Chairman of the Board of the EEC Bakytzhan Sagintayev.
