MOSCOW, 24 February (BelTA) – People in Russia appreciate industrial cooperation with Belarus in nuclear industry, aviation industry, and space industry. First Deputy Chairman of the Economic Policy Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Denis Kravchenko mentioned it on the sidelines of a session of the Industry and Trade Commission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia, BelTA has learned.
Denis Kravchenko said: “We greatly appreciate our interaction with Belarusian partners in the field of industrial cooperation. It is very important for us that we have mutual relations and mutual penetration in a good sense in the industry and economy of our countries. Firstly, nuclear industry is the economy branch with the highest import substitution in our country and now in Belarus.”
“The second is, of course, aircraft manufacturing. On the one hand, we look forward to results of the unique Osvey project, which will solve many problems for regional aviation and interregional aviation. Belarusian manufacturers are also actively involved in industrial cooperation with our United Aircraft Corporation,” he pointed out.
The member of the lower chamber of the Russian parliament said it was important that the Union State plays a significant role in the development of industrial cooperation not only in aircraft manufacturing, but also in other areas. “It is gratifying that Belarus’ Academy of Sciences has lent its support and, in cooperation with the state space corporation Roscosmos, they are engaged in the production of unique world-class products. First of all, I would like to draw attention to achievements of our Belarusian partners in the field of photonics. I am referring to unique lenses for satellites. They provide image resolution of up to 0.7 meters or even 0.5 meters. This is a very high standard. Apart from that, we also cooperate in the field of communication satellite constellations,” he emphasized.
“A separate topic is automotive engineering and mechanical engineering as a whole. When it comes to automotive engineering, everyone knows perfectly well that heavy vehicles, freight transportation in Belarus are organized at a high level. We also have our own powerful enterprises, which is why we also interact and maintain industrial cooperation in the field of engine manufacturing and the exchange of components. Well, passenger car manufacturing is also in focus. It is a very important area for our joint work,” added Denis Kravchenko.
