MINSK, 11 November (BelTA) - Hostile rhetoric against peace-loving Belarus, based on a number of baseless insinuations, which has become the norm in the behavior of the countries of the collective West, is unacceptable, reads the statement of the Central Committee and the Council of the Communist Party of Belarus, BelTA has learned.
“The Central Committee and the Council of the Communist Party of Belarus express their deep concern about the current situation on the western borders of Belarus. The leadership of the neighboring countries, supported by their handlers in Washington and Brussels, has embarked on a course of confrontation with Belarus. The reason for the escalation of tension is the situation created by Warsaw on the state border of the two countries. Poland's hostile actions are supported by the Baltic States, the United States, the European Union and, unfortunately, Ukraine. All attempts to accuse official Minsk and Moscow of creating a migrant crisis on the EU border are groundless. Belarus has never provoked and does not intend to provoke border incidents, so it categorically rejects such provocations,” the statement reads.
The Communist Party of Belarus believes that all the responsibility for this situation lies on the United States and its NATO allies, including Poland. “It is not Belarus that has unleashed bloody wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Libya and Syria. It is not Belarus that has destroyed the economy and social infrastructure of these countries, thereby provoking a humanitarian disaster there. It is not Belarus that promised to accept on its territory all those who seek a peaceful and prosperous life in Germany. It is not Belarus that uses inhumane and barbaric methods in dealing with illegal migration. Therefore, all attempts to shift responsibility from bad to better is a cynical continuation of the policy of neocolonialism and the solution of their own geopolitical interests by one of the most barbaric methods - violence,” the statement reads.
The Belarusian communists express their strong protest against the actions of the official leadership of Poland and the Baltic States, as well as officials of the European Union and the United States. “Hostile rhetoric towards peace-loving Belarus, which is based on a number of unsubstantiated insinuations and has become the norm in the behavior of the countries of the collective West, is unacceptable. We demand to stop escalating the situation on the border, using for this purpose very doubtful methods of combating illegal migration, to stop violence against defenseless people: women and children, the elderly and disabled, to stop all attacks on the sovereign Belarusian state and to be guided in their actions by generally accepted norms of international law,” the statement of the Central Committee and Council of the Communist Party of Belarus runs.
