CIS Commission on Human Rights to sit in Minsk on 5 December
 

MINSK, 2 December (BelTA) – Minsk will host the fifth meeting of the Commission on Human Rights of the Commonwealth of Independent States on 5 December, BelTA learned from the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.

Members of the commission are set to examine 14 items. These include thematic reports on the observance of the right to a favorable environment and the observance of youth rights in CIS countries.

The meeting will also discuss the topics regarding the protection of human rights in the context of artificial intelligence use, the United Nations World Programme for Human Rights Education, the methodology for researching the Human Rights Compliance Index in member states of the commission, and amendments to the model law “On the Status of the Human Rights Ombudsperson”.

In addition, the commission members will discuss matters regarding the development of provisions on the admissibility terms and procedures for handling appeals by the CIS Commission on Human Rights and the amendments to the commission's Rules of Procedure and the approval of its emblem.
