MINSK, 28 September (BelTA) – On 29 September, at 12.00 the Belarusian Women's Union (BWU) will start a campaign to help people stranded at the Belarus-Poland border, BelTA has learned.
“The Belarusian Women's Union appeals to Polish public associations, human rights and volunteer organizations, ordinary citizens, all people of goodwill. We, Belarusian women, want to make ourselves heard. Show solidarity and raise your voice in defense of peace, justice and sympathy for refugees at our borders. We urge you to join the campaign of the Belarusian Women's Union. We should have enough strength and wisdom to stop the escalation of the conflict and help these people,” the union noted.
On 29 September, at 12.00 the Belarusian Women's Union will launch a campaign to help people who found themselves in a difficult situation at the Belarus-Poland border. “The Belarusian Women's Union is ready to send a petition to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Border Committee of Belarus in order to facilitate access to asylum seekers for journalists, human rights organizations and activists,” the Belarusian Women's Union said.
