
MINSK, 7 March (BelTA) - The Belarusian Parliament is ready to contribute to the promotion of relations with Myanmar across a wide range of issues, Chairman of the House of Representatives Igor Sergeyenko said during a meeting with Chairman of the State Administrative Council, Prime Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Min Aung Hlaing in Minsk on 7 March, BelTA learned.
“We are looking
forward to resuming inter-parliamentary dialogue (especially since you have
noted today that the country will hold parliamentary elections in late 2025 -
early 2026) and to developing inter-regional ties by exchanging visits and
meetings,” Igor Sergeyenko said. “The Belarusian Parliament is ready to
contribute to the promotion of relations with Myanmar across a wide range of
issues. You can rely on the constructive and responsible position of the
National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.” The Speaker is convinced
that the high level of Belarusian-Myanmar relations will continue to serve as a
reliable basis for the dynamic development of cooperation in all areas.
