MINSK, 23 December (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia have updated the main document in the field of military technology cooperation, the press service of the State Authority for Military Industry of Belarus told BelTA.
Chairman of the State Authority for Military Industry of Belarus Dmitry Pantus met with Director of Russia’s Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation Dmitry Shugayev. The heads of the agencies discussed matters concerning the harmonization of legislation in export control and military technology cooperation, integration of the defense industries of the two countries. Mutual deliveries of military products to the armed forces of Belarus and Russia and to third countries were also discussed at length.
Apart from that, Dmitry Pantus and Dmitry Shugayev signed a protocol on amending the treaty between the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation on advancing military technology cooperation of 10 December 2009. “The introduced amendments will allow updating the approaches to mutual deliveries of products within the framework of the treaty taking into account the existing geopolitical situation,” the press service of the State Authority for Military Industry of Belarus said.
