MINSK, 20 November (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia signed agreements in the field of transport development on the sidelines of the Transport of Russia 2024 international forum and exhibition, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of Belarus Sergei Dubina and State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Transport of Russia Dmitry Zverev approved the procedure for reporting potential and actual illegal interference in the work of transport infrastructure facilities of the two countries, as well as in the operation of vehicles used for international and cabotage transportation of goods by road.
The Belarusian Research Institute of Transport Transtekhnika and the Research Institute of Automobile Transport of the Russian Federation inked a cooperation agreement. The document provides for joint research, exchange of best practices in introducing innovative solutions and ensuring the quality and availability of transport services, balanced development of various types of transport and transport and logistics infrastructure.
The Transport of Russia exhibition is a major industry event that is running in Moscow on 19-21 November. A great part of the business program of the forum is dedicated to the international agenda, like the development of strategic partnerships and integration of national transport systems into the common network of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The program included a plenary discussion “Transport cooperation “CIS+”: interconnection, sustainability, efficiency”, a meeting of the CIS Coordination Transport Conference, as well as a meeting of the EAEU Council of Heads of Authorized Bodies in the Field of Transport.
During the working visit to Moscow, the delegation of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Belarus took part in a meeting of the working group to discuss the implementation of the provisions of the Union State Treaty in the period of 2024-2026. The parties initialed an action plan to improve the roads of the Union State in 2024-2026.
