“There have been no violations of the law on the part of migrants so far. They are on the territory of the Republic of Belarus legally. Indeed, their number has increased. They come to our country with visas and check into hotels. These people are fleeing from the war, trying to get into the European Union. We, as a hospitable country, are always ready to welcome everyone,” said Ivan Kubrakov.
According to the minister, the task of the internal affairs bodies to protect public order is fulfilled both in Minsk and in the border areas. “I would like to note that there are no problems with migrants in Belarus today. We constantly have preventive conversations with them, and they respond well.”
Speaking about the situation in the border zone, he stressed that there are reserves in case the operational situation aggravates. “There are no such forecasts for today. Internal troops and territorial bodies of internal affairs, are on duty in the border areas. There have not been any complaints from citizens in the border districts. The reports we receive are only of a general nature. We respond to them and ensure the safety of our citizens,' said Ivan Kubrakov.
