Belarus' Civil Protection University wins award at science competition in Russia

MINSK, 26 November (BelTA) - The first degree diploma of the international science competition University Science 2020 was awarded to the paper by representatives of the Civil Protection University of the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry, the official representative of the university Andrei Sadovsky told BelTA.

“Lyubov Lutz, Ph.D.in Philology, assistant professor at the chair of service organization, supervision and legal support, and cadet of the Technogenic Security Department Maksim Yakimyuk submitted a joint work "Spin-doctoring as effective management of news flows in mass communication” in the Philological Sciences nomination. The authors analyzed the use of the spin-doctoring technology in the crisis aggressive communication environment, and examined the modern views on the main methods and techniques of creating an information and psychological impact on the audience

In the classical sense, spin-doctoring is a method of political manipulation through mass media. It involves the use of a great arsenal of specific methods and technologies of influencing people's consciousness: publishing false messages, awakening negative emotions in the audience through visual means or verbal images.

University Science 2020 is a prestigious international competition of research works to promote the effective development of science and innovation. Its organizer is the Science and Enlightenment international center for scientific cooperation.
