MINSK, 2 April (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Brazil Andrei Andreyev met with Moisés Alves Barcelos, General Commander of the Military Firefighters Corps of the Federal District (Brasília), on 1 April, the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Brazil told BelTA.
The parties discussed holding joint activities with the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry to exchange experience and enhance the professional competencies of firefighters and rescuers in both countries.
The Brazilian side expressed particular interest in educational and scientific-practical cooperation with the University of Civil Protection of the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry, as well as in certain types of specialized protective gear and firefighting equipment produced in Belarus.
An agreement was reached to work out specific areas of interagency cooperation and to prepare reciprocal visits.
