MINSK, 27 March (BelTA) - More than 900 trucks are lined up on Belarus’ border to enter Lithuania and Poland, BelTA has learned from the State Border Committee of Belarus.
Some 640 freight trucks are queueing in front of the Lithuanian checkpoints Medininkai (Kamenny Log on the Belarusian side) and Salcininkai (Benyakoni). Over the past 24 hours the Lithuanian checkpoints cleared 23% and 40% of the normal number of vehicles.
About 300 trucks are waiting to enter the EU via Polish border checkpoints Kukuryki (Kozlovichi) and Bobrowniki (Berestovitsa). These checkpoints processed 38% of the normal number of trucks.
"As of 10.00 in the morning, there was a queue of 330 cars in front of all Polish checkpoints. Over the past 24 hours the Polish services have handled 24% of the normal number of vehicles," the State Border Committee said.
