MINSK, 30 January (BelTA) – Belarus has entered the list of top foreign destinations for Russian tourists during the holiday periods in February and March, BelTA learned from the Russian Union of the Tourism Industry.
According to one of the leading online hotel and apartment booking services, demand for travel during the holiday season has grown by 42% this year compared to last. The most popular choices are neighboring countries: Belarus, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Georgia, and Kazakhstan, with demand for these destinations rising 89% year-on-year. Resort beach destinations such as Thailand, the UAE, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Egypt also showed strong growth, with bookings collectively up 78%.
