Ananich signs book of condolences for Tu-154 plane crash victims

MINSK, 27 December (BelTA) – Belarus' Information Minister Lilia Ananich signed the book of condolences at the Russian Embassy in Minsk to pay tribute to the victims of the Tu-154 plane crash, BelTA has learned from the Information Ministry of Belarus.

“We do not make distinction between our own grief and someone else's. It is our common loss and grief. I believe that journalists should work in the name of peace. It is our common goal to maintain the peace on Earth. This is another reason to pause and think how vulnerable everything is and how many efforts it takes to maintain peace,” Lilia Ananich wrote.

She also laid flowers to commemorate the plane crash victims.

The Tu-154 plane crashed in the Black Sea in the morning on 25 December. The plane was carrying 92 people, including members of the Alexandrov Russian Army Song and Dance Ensemble and journalists.
