MINSK, 16 March (BelTA) – Technological and labor discipline is a crucial element in any economy, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he appointed new heads of local executive bodies on 16 March, BelTA informs.
“Technological and labor discipline is important. Don't forget that it is a crucial element in any economy, both planned and market economy. Don't get carried away with market economy. If you start playing too much with these market strategies thinking that it will regulate something somewhere, you will immediately lose hold of things, allow a slump and create problems,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
The president reminded that this year will be an exam for all government bodies, including at the local level. “You are at the forefront, and people see you. You know how our people, who are used to honesty and justice, assess your work,” the head of state said. “We pass a test. Not only me (but I will pass it in the first place), you will pass a test too. No one will pass any test without you, and it will be very difficult for me.”
