MINSK, 3 January (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed a decree to amend a number of decrees on youth policy: Decree No. 367 "On improving the mechanism to encourage creative work of young scientists" of 11 August 2005, Decree No. 425 "On grants of the President of the Republic of Belarus in science, education, healthcare, culture" of 13 September 2013 and Decree No. 559 "On state support for the public association ‘Belarusian Republican Youth Union'” of 17 December 2012, BelTA learned this from the press service of the head of state.
In accordance with the document, the uses of the president's grants have been expanded. Along with science, education, healthcare and culture, grants will be provided in youth policy, too. All in all, 100 grants will be allocated (up to 20 in each sector: science, education, healthcare, culture, youth policy).
The interdepartmental commission to consider the nominations for the Belarusian president's scholarships to talented young scientists and the national commission to consider the nominations for the Belarusian president's grants in science, education, healthcare and culture will be updated too.
The decree is designed to promote youth projects and to increase the role of young citizens in the state youth policy.
