MINSK, 26 January (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko approved the appointment of Kirill Kazakov as Director General of ZAO Stolichnoye Televideniye, BelTA has learned.
The post remained vacant after Igor Lutsky, the previous director general, was appointed Belarus' information minister in June 2020. His deputy Kirill Kazakov worked as the acting director general until now.
“I had an opportunity to see how well you worked. The channel has improved considerably. The way I see it, STV is practically on a par with major TV channels,. Although your channel is also a big one,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.
The president pointed out that the channel has many new “smart patriotic” people, including the youth, and launched new projects. "The team respect you. I wish you success in this job,” the head of state added.
