MINSK, 18 August (BelTA) - Ukraine has been denazified; there are a few rabid Nazis left there, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said in an interview with the Rossiya TV channel, BelTA has learned.
In the interview, the Belarusian president once again called for negotiations to settle the conflict in Ukraine. “Let us sit down at the negotiating table and end this fight. Neither the Ukrainian people, nor the Russians, or the Belarusians need it. It is them who need this conflict. I cannot disclose these facts as they are top secret. But they [high-ranking officials] openly say and I quote: ‘it is good that Ukrainians and Russians kill each other’,” the president said.
"We need to wake up. Where will Volodya Zelensky (who is sitting in a bunker in Kiev today) sit tomorrow? In the UK. You [in Russia] sometimes talk about the Nazis. These Nazis are no longer there. Ukraine has been denazified. Just a few rabid Nazis are left there, but they are no longer the trend. Today, about 70% Ukrainians hate Zelensky, because he promised one thing, and did another, and people are dying."
