MINSK, 6 February (BelTA) – The international competition of special forces UAE SWAT Challenge 2026 officially opened in Dubai, UAE. The Belarusian Internal Affairs Ministry is represented by the team of the special counterterrorism unit Almaz [Diamond], the ministry’s representatives told BelTA.
During the farewell meeting Belarusian Internal Affairs Minister Ivan Kubrakov noted that the team was prepared well and wished them every success. The minister also stressed that it was a great honor to represent the country.
The competition has been organized for the seventh time. The UAE SWAT challenges boast a high level of competition and a broad geography of participants. This year’s SWAT challenge has gathered 109 teams from 48 states.
The championship program includes five comprehensive trials that test professional skills, physical fitness, and cohesive actions. Results will be tallied daily and the ultimate champion will be determined by the total points earned over the course of the competition.
According to results of the draw, the team of the special counterterrorism unit Almaz will start tomorrow under number 34.
