MINSK, 4 August (BelTA) – The Belarusian economy is geared towards achieving only one goal – to take good care of people. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement in his address to the nation and the parliament on 4 August, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian leader stressed that thanks to the chosen policy and approaches they had managed to build a socially oriented state that would always lend a helping hand to those who really needed help.
“It is not populism for us, not something to be said to match fashionable trends but the key principle of our policy,” the head of state stressed. “Good-heartedness, compassion, justice are part of the genetic code of the Belarusians if you want. It is what our soul is all about. Our belief and our tradition. This is why our economy will be geared towards one goal – to take good care of the people.”
