Lukashenko sends Independence Day greetings to Brazil

MINSK, 7 September (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to Brazil President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva as the country celebrates Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“Today, more than two centuries after gaining independence, Brazil plays a significant role on the global stage. By championing national sovereignty, free trade, peaceful coexistence, and conflict resolution through dialogue, it has become a benchmark for the Global South,” the message of congratulations reads.

The head of state is confident that the strategies developed under Brazil’s BRICS presidency will help create a more just, multipolar world and improve living standards for people everywhere.

The president emphasized, “I am convinced that the agreements reached during the 2025 visits of Belarusian delegations to Brazil will positively impact Minsk-Brasilia relations. We will not only strengthen traditional cooperation but also find new common ground.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva good health and energy for his important work, and conveyed wishes for harmony and prosperity to the Brazilian people.
