MINSK, 13 January (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated President Taye Atske Selassie of Ethiopia on his 70th birthday, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"You have devoted your life to patriotic service to the Ethiopian people and the selfless defense of your country’s interests on the world stage," the message of congratulations reads.
The head of state stressed the intensification of political dialogue between the two countries, the strengthening of bilateral ties, the similarity of approaches to global agenda issues, and cooperation in international platforms, primarily the UN and BRICS.
"I reaffirm Belarus’ readiness to expand partnership relations with Ethiopia and hope that in the near future we will launch joint projects in manufacturing industry, agricultural mechanization, education, culture, and other areas of importance to our states," Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized.
The Belarusian leader wished Taye Atske Selassie good health, happiness, and success in his responsible work.
