Lukashenko sends anniversary greetings to Belarusian special operations unit Zubr

MINSK, 15 May (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to the employees, veterans, and all those who developed and served in the special operations unit Zubr of the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry on the 30th anniversary of the unit, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“Devoting yourselves to a noble cause, you are the first to come to the aid of people in trouble. Showing high professionalism, personal courage and bravery in eliminating man-made accidents and the consequences of natural disasters both in Belarus and abroad you have created the image of a unit that can quickly and efficiently solve problems of any complexity, including in conditions of increased risk,” the message says.

The head of state stressed that the competence of the personnel is deservedly confirmed by international certificates.

“I am convinced that being an integral part of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Force and the CIS Corps of Forces, the detachments of the unit will continue to strengthen traditions of international mutual assistance in overcoming emergencies,” the president said.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished the personnel and veterans of the Zubr special operations unit strong health, happiness, well-being, successful and safe service for the benefit of the people and their Fatherland.
