MINSK, 12 May (BelTA) - Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko had a telephone conversation with Russia President Vladimir Putin on 9 May. They wished each other a Happy Victory Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin discussed the schedule of joint events which will take place in Belarus and Russia in the near future.
In elaboration of the talks between Vladimir Putin and Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon, who paid a visit to Moscow, the sides discussed the situation in the CSTO's zone of responsibility.
The presidents also discussed the situation in Ukraine and the interest of this country in the enhancement of interaction with NATO.
Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin also shared opinions on the internal situation in Belarus and in the Russian Federation. The presidents agreed to hold a meeting to discuss pending issues in the near future.
