Minsk’s exports of tourism services up by almost 50% in 2025

MINSK, 12 February (BelTA) – Minsk’s exports of tourism services surged by almost 50% last year, Darya Shibeko, head of tourism at the international affairs and tourism department at the Economy Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee, said at a press conference, BelTA has learned.

The tourism sector has undergone significant changes. “Tourist flows to Minsk are growing. We are benchmarking against the successful year of 2019, but we have already surpassed that level. The data is preliminary; official statistics will be released in early March. However, hotel occupancy is already projected at over 60%, and the growth rate of tourism service exports is expected to exceed 45% compared to 2024. Minsk has developed a modern hospitality infrastructure catering to individual tourists, groups, and participants of forums and competitions,” Darya Shibeko said.

In 2025, two new facilities were opened in Minsk. The he historic buildings in the Loshitsa Estate and Park Complex were opened after reconstruction, including a hotel for 13 rooms. The 5* Waldorf Astoria, featuring 155 rooms, a restaurant, a spa, and parking opened in the city center. Minsk now has 59 hotels and 19 similar accommodation facilities with a total capacity of 13,000 beds, in addition to thousands of individual accommodations. Thirty-three hotels have been certified, she added.
