Lukashenko orders military to change concentration areas more frequently

MINSK, 1 April (BelTA) – At a meeting to summarize the results of the comprehensive inspection of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus on 1 April, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko instructed the military to change their concentration areas more frequently, BelTA has learned.
“It is very important to leave familiar places, the barracks, in time and move to concentration areas. The brigade I was in often went there [during the president’s army service], unlike today,” the head of state said. “Moving into a concentration area is essential to get out from under a potential strike.”

At the same time, the head of state stressed that in the current situation it is important to change concentration areas more often, taking into account the intelligence capabilities of a potential adversary. Aleksandr Lukashenko gave a concrete example: “Everyone sees us, everyone knows. I was just sent photos from a Ukrainian drone. I looked at them. They filmed the Brest area. Our brigade there, and all the sites located in that area. They see and know everything.”

“We need to change our concentration areas. The enemy must not know them. Because that is where the first missiles will fly. And perhaps we need to change them more often. And in a threatened period, we must definitely change the concentration area,” the commander-in-chief instructed. “That is why special attention was paid to your mobility [during the combat readiness inspection]. You were deployed to a concentration area, quickly set up a place to live, and were ready to fight. We paid particular attention to this.”
