MINSK, 6 March (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko named the most rewarding mission for him as president as he presented state awards and general's straps at a ceremony on 6 March, BelTA has learned.
“Perhaps the most rewarding mission for president is to present awards to distinguished people, to be among those who make Belarus stronger and more beautiful by daily work, as well as the life of Belarusians safer and richer,” said the head of state.
The ceremony is traditionally held on the eve of International Women's Day. Among the invitees on 6 March were more than 30 people, including representatives of the army and other law enforcement agencies, honored workers representing various sectors, and mothers with many children.
