Lukashenko extends Nowruz greetings to Iran

MINSK, 21 March (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended congratulations to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and the people of Iran on Nowruz, the Persian New Year, marking the start of the year 1405 on the Iranian calendar, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“This ancient spring holiday embodies renewal, energy and the unbreakable connection of times. It brings hope for great accomplishments, strengthens faith in harmony and inspires people to follow the path of accord and mutual respect,” the message of congratulations reads.

The head of state noted that at this festive moment as the new year begins, Iran continues to face difficult external challenges with steadfast resolve. “I am confident that the wise Iranian people, drawing on centuries of experience, will courageously overcome all trials and defend their right to follow the chosen path of independence and sovereignty,” the president emphasized.

Aleksandr Lukashenko pointed to the development of relations between Minsk and Tehran in an atmosphere of sincere friendship, trust and support as a positive factor. “We highly value our reliable and constructive cooperation, which is based on common interests and the aspiration for stability and prosperity,” the Belarusian leader noted.

The Belarusian president wished the Iranian president health, wisdom and success in his responsible state duties, and to every resident of the country – peace and steady progress.
