MINSK, 5 July (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko extended condolences to the family and friends of the Belarusian people's Artist Lev Gumilevsky, BelTA learned from the press service of the head of state.
"He dedicated his life to monumental art, created a number of monuments to famous Belarusian figures, and left an unforgettable mark in the history of our country," the message reads.
Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that the work of Lev Gumilevsky is an invaluable contribution to the national cultural treasure trove. "Lev Gumilevsky became an example of selfless service to art and homeland. We will always cherish the memory of him in our hearts," the president stressed.
