LEPEL DISTRICT, 31 October (BelTA) – The village of Domzheritsy, which is located on the territory of the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve, should set the standard for agrotown development across the entire country, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he met with its local residents on 31 October, BelTA has learned.
“Why would anyone want to leave this place? The air here is 300 times better than in Minsk. You have a school, a kindergarten, jobs. Most importantly, there is a market and demand for your products. I believe all agrotowns should be made like Domzheritsy. We should copy this model and replicate it everywhere within a few years,” the head of state said.
“I have to admit, many things here have surprised me. The fact that you are in the center of this vast natural area, and here is such a gem. Our main task is to direct funds to places where it is possible to build and preserve such centers,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stated.
