MINSK, 8 August (BelTA) – On 7 August Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 299, awarding state honors to 94 distinguished individuals across various fields of achievement, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The order, medals and honorary titles were awarded for many years of fruitful work, high professionalism, courage and determination shown in rescuing people during fires, achieving high production indicators, significant personal contribution to ensuring the rule of law, strengthening law and order and combating crime, preventing and investigating economic crimes, protecting the environment, developing the agro-industrial complex, manufacturing sector, construction, communications, transport, energy sector, social security, education, science, culture and sports.
The Order of Honor was awarded to Grodno Oblast Prosecutor Aleksandr Zhukov. The Medal for Saved Life was awarded to head of the second department of the armament headquarters of the Defense Ministry Andrei Zhlukta.
Among the recipients of the Medal for Excellence in the Maintenance of Public Order are Aleksandr Vyrkovsky, Senior Detective for Especially Important Cases at the Brest Customs Anti-Smuggling Department; Vladislav Goncharuk, Investigator for Especially Important Cases at the Main Investigative Department (Central Office) of the Investigative Committee, specializing in crimes against persons and public safety; Aleksandr Prikolotin, Deputy Head of the Investigative Committee’s Department for Gomel Oblast.
A large group of workers were awarded the Medal for Labor Merits. Among them are Chief Livestock Specialist at the Ostromechevo enterprise Olga Zhitkovich, Director General of Minsk Automobile Plant Valery Ivankovich, an electrician at the Polimir plant of Naftan Aleksandr Korsak, and a confectioner at the Borisovkhlebprom enterprise Artyom Sobol.
Among those awarded the Medal of Francysk Skaryna are a ballet dancer of the Belarusian State Academic Honored Choreographic Ensemble Khoroshki Yelena Bogdanova, Director of Baranovichi Secondary School No. 1 Marina Kuptsova, First Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Gomelskaya Pravda newspaper Vyacheslav Minkov, and a physics teacher at Molodechno Secondary School No. 14 Yelena Spetsian.
The decree also awarded honorary titles of the Republic of Belarus.
The People’s Teacher of Belarus title was awarded to a mathematics teacher at Gymnasium No. 1 of Lida Alfred Ladyko. An artist of the Grodno Capella symphony orchestra Tatiana Sukhotskaya was awarded the Honored Artist of Belarus title.
The Honored Scientist of Belarus title was awarded to Director of the Institute for Nuclear Problems of BSU Sergei Maksimenko. First Vice-Rector of Belarusian State Pedagogical University Svetlana Kopteva was awarded the Honored Worker of Education of Belarus title. Director of the Gamma Vkusa company Nadezhda Palchinskaya became the Honored Worker of Industry of Belarus.
Director General of the Grodnokhlebprom enterprise Viktor Leonovich and Director of the Dembrovo enterprise Aleksandr Tula were awarded the Honored Worker of Agriculture of Belarus title.
The Honored Builder of Belarus title was awarded to Head of the Pruzhanskaya PMK-21 enterprise Vasily Lukyanchuk. Chief Landscape Architect of the Minskproekt enterprise Anna Aksenova was awarded the Honored Architect of Belarus title.
On 7 August, Aleksandr Lukashenko also signed an order announcing presidential commendations.
For many years of fruitful work and significant achievements in tax administration, the letters of commendation were awarded to Oksana Belezak, Head of the Control Work Organization Department at the Minsk Oblast Tax Inspectorate; Yelena Papylchenko, Head of the Osipovichi District Tax Inspectorate; Vadim Pochtarev, Deputy Head of the Organizational Control Department at the Soviet District (Gomel) Tax Inspectorate; Tatiana Yakimova, Deputy Head of the Individual Taxation Department at the Minsk City Tax Inspectorate.
Alesya Urbanovich, Chief Advisor of the Legal, Analytical and Methodological Work Department, and Sergei Shmarlovsky, Head of the Organizational, Financial Work and International Cooperation Department of the Central Electoral Commission, were awarded the letters of commendation for their productive work, exceptional professionalism, and valuable contributions to improving the national electoral system.
For many years of fruitful work, high professionalism, and significant personal contribution to preventing and investigating economic crimes, the letter of commendation was awarded to a number of employees of state control bodies. Among them are Yekaterina Ozernaya, Advisor at the Coordination and International Cooperation Department of the Financial Monitoring Directorate (State Control Committee); Vladimir Bondar, Deputy Head of the Main Construction, Housing and Utilities Control Directorate – Head of the Housing and Utilities Control Department (State Control Committee); Inna Burak, Auditor at the Baranovichi Interdistrict Office of the State Control Committee; Anatoly Dorozhko, Chairman of the Grodno Oblast Office of the State Control Committee.
The letters of commendation for fruitful work, high professionalism, significant personal contribution to the Minsk Groundwater Supply Conversion Project were bestowed on Director General of the Road and Bridge Construction and Landscaping Department of the Minsk City Executive Committee Vladimir Latushkin and Director of Minskvodokanal Fyodor Rimashevsky.
For their active participation in the social and political life of the country, the letters of commendation were awarded to Yuri Kurzenkov, member of the Khotimsk District Office of Belaya Rus; Vladimir Khlyabich, Chairman of the Oktyabrsky District branch (Grodno) of Belaya Rus; Leonid Yegorenko, member of the Council of the Gorki District Branch, Mogilev Oblast, of Belaya Rus.
The letters of commendation also acknowledged the hard work and professional achievements of head of the candy shop at the Kommunarka confectionery Lilia Artynskaya, Head Nurse of Luninets Central District Hospital Svetlana Goreglyad, deputy head of the production and technology sector of the Baranovichi Production Department of the Brestoblgaz enterprise Vladislav Bartkevich, reinforcement worker at Construction Department No. 158 of Construction Trust No. 8 Vasily Kislyuk, Director of the Gastellovskoye enterprise Stanislav Sokolovsky and Assistant to the Chairman of the Presidential Sports Club – head of the information and public relations sector Pavel Yegorov.
