MINSK, 26 March (BelTA) – Belarusian products are of very high quality. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Serbia to Belarus Ilina Vukajlovic mentioned it during a presentation of Belarus’ agribusiness potential before heads of diplomatic missions, BelTA has learned.
Ilina Vukajlovic noted: “Such meetings are important for informing the diplomatic corps about the potential of manufacturing facilities and of the agribusiness complex. We will be able to deliver this useful information to our business circles. Belarus’ agribusiness is one of the leading ones. Everyone knows that Belarusian products are of very high quality. And if machines and vehicles are bought, then they serve for a long time. It is appreciated.”
Climate change is a topical problem that is accompanied by many challenges: floods, extremely high and low temperatures. “Our specialists could work well in this regard. In particular, they could work on seeds, on ensuring food security,” the ambassador added.
The ambassador shared impressions from her recent trip to Brest Oblast where she noted high efficiency of agricultural production.
“There is an interest. Our joint work always benefits both Belarus and Serbia. Both sides are satisfied with results. Belarusian goods sell in Serbia and we have good products that we can supply. Our goal is to increase the trade turnover,” Ilina Vukajlovic noted.
Among the commodity items that enjoy the strongest demand on the Serbian market the ambassador mentioned frozen foods: fruits, vegetables, and mushrooms. Shipments of leather for processing are another cooperation avenue with considerable potential.
“Our private sector is interested in cooperation with Belarus,” she added.
