MINSK, 25 March (BelTA) – Under the leadership of Aleksandr Lukashenko, Belarus continues to develop confidently and strengthen its positions on the international stage amid global changes and challenges, member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Alla Smolyak told BelTA.
“On 25 March 2025, the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko took place. At the inauguration, the head of state noted that together we were following the path of peace and creation, national unity and patriotism, justice and opportunities for all. This is what we mean by a state for the people. He also stressed that this is our Belarusian way. The wisdom of Aleksandr Lukashenko, his strategic vision, consistent policy, peace-loving stance, and focus on the ordinary citizen first and foremost have made it possible to implement large-scale projects to improve the economy, social welfare, and infrastructure,” Alla Smolyak said.
The MP also added that under the leadership of the head of state, measures were taken to modernize production facilities, advance innovation and science, attract investment, and support domestic businesses and agriculture.
“All of this, along with many other efforts, helps to improve people’s living and working conditions while also enhancing the country’s international standing. We take pride in our nation’s accomplishments and are confident that under the leadership of our president, Belarus will continue to develop confidently amid global changes and challenges, strengthening its positions on the international stage while preserving its uniqueness, distinct identity, values, traditions, interests, and, most importantly, its sovereignty and independence,” the member of the Council of the Republic emphasized.
Member of the House of Representatives Eduard Severin stressed that the Belarusian president is a unique politician. “He acts based on the principles of good neighborliness, cooperation, equality, and justice. It is the latter that allows the head of state to exercise the authority that resolves many issues in protecting the interests of the Belarusian state. In the midst of modern international political chaos, the Belarusian leader’s deep engagement with the issues and his capacity for work enable him to make the right decisions. The Constitution states that the sole source of state power and the bearer of sovereignty in the Republic of Belarus is the people. The choice they have made is more than justified. It is what helps us and our country remain strong and maintain our own position,” Eduard Severin pointed out.
