
MINSK, 12 August (BelTA) – The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed the release of individuals subjected to forced labor, including citizens of Belarus, during a police operation in Spain, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ruslan Varankov told journalists, BelTA reports.
The spokesman emphasized: “The Belarusian Embassy in Madrid maintains constant contact with Spanish law enforcement agencies. Our diplomats stand ready to provide the citizens with the necessary consular and legal support and to assist them in all interactions with local authorities.”
Investigative actions continue, after which the Belarusian citizens will be provided with the opportunity to return safely to their homeland.
“The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to closely monitor the situation and provide comprehensive support to our citizens abroad,” Ruslan Varankov stated.
