Meeting of leaders of Belarus, China at Belt and Road forum discussed in Minsk

MINSK, 20 March (BelTA) – Belarus and China have discussed the meeting of the leaders of the two countries at the forthcoming Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On 20 March Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Cui Qiming. Apart from the highest-level meeting, the parties discussed the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation.

According to Vladimir Makei, it is important that a Chinese government delegation will take part in the Belt and Road forum that will be held in the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone in July. The participants of the forum will discuss China-Belarus cooperation and promotion of the Belt and Road initiative in the region.

Apart from that, an agreement was reached to arrange an excursion to the Great Stone park for heads of diplomatic missions accredited in our country.
